As a long-time investment manager specialising only in emerging markets, the insight and experience gained over the years underlines our specific approach to investing in these markets. We employ a triple investment process based on top-down and bottom-up analysis, the identification of triggers and catalysts and timing. This process is the fruit of fourteen years experience investing in emerging markets as a company, with individual members of the company holding even longer track records.

We place a particular emphasis on maintaining a deep understanding of the companies and sectors in which we invest, with the investment committee and research team spending a substantial amount of time meeting with companies’ senior and operational management, as well as with that of their competitors. We therefore operate from two main locations, enabling us to cover most of the trading time zones worldwide on a daily basis. Our main research office is in Istanbul, with administrative and corporate offices in Nassau, Bahamas.

Istanbul is an advantageous location for the research and investment management team, itself being an emerging market as well as usefully placed for travel to the east European, former Soviet Union and Asian emerging markets.
